Tree and Radial layouts — two distinct visualization styles for different use cases.
6 color themes — Purple, Ocean, Forest, Sunset, Dark, and Candy presets.
Collapsible nodes — click any branch to expand or collapse it for cleaner views.
Pan and zoom — drag to pan, scroll wheel to zoom in/out, or use the +, -, and Fit buttons.
PNG and SVG export — download high-resolution raster or scalable vector images.
Real-time updates — edit the outline and see changes reflected immediately in Watch mode.

How to Use

  1. Type your outline — use indentation (tabs or spaces) to define hierarchy. Each indented line becomes a child of the line above it.
  2. Pick a theme — choose from 6 color themes: Default (purple), Ocean, Forest, Sunset, Dark, or Candy.
  3. Choose a layout — select Tree for left-to-right branching or Radial for a center-out circular layout.
  4. Switch to Watch mode — click Watch map to see your mind map rendered on an interactive canvas.
  5. Interact — click nodes to collapse/expand branches, drag to pan, scroll to zoom.
  6. Export — download as PNG (1920x1080) or SVG for use in presentations and documents.

Use Cases

Brainstorming: Quickly visualize ideas and their relationships during planning sessions and creative meetings.
Project Planning: Map out project phases, tasks, and dependencies in a visual hierarchy.
Study Notes: Organize lecture material or textbook chapters into a visual study guide.
Presentations: Create clean, professional mind maps to include in slides and reports.
Content Strategy: Plan blog posts, social media calendars, and content hierarchies visually.

Tips

Keep node text short — 2-4 words per node works best for readable mind maps. Put details in child nodes.
Limit depth to 3-4 levels — deeper hierarchies become hard to read. Split into multiple maps if needed.
Use consistent indentation — each level of indentation represents a level in the hierarchy.
Start with the main topic — the first line is always the root node. Make it descriptive.
Try the Dark theme for presentations — dark backgrounds make colorful nodes pop on screen.

FAQ

Use indentation with spaces or tabs. Each indented line becomes a child of the nearest less-indented line above it. For example, "Project" at column 0 is the root, "Research" indented once is its child, and "Market Analysis" indented twice is a child of "Research".
Yes. In Watch mode, click any node that has children to toggle between collapsed (showing a "+" indicator) and expanded (showing a "-" indicator). This helps focus on specific parts of the map.
Tree layout arranges nodes left-to-right in a branching structure, which is great for hierarchical data. Radial layout places nodes in a circular pattern around the center, which is better for showing interconnected or balanced structures.
Currently there is no built-in save feature. You can download your map as PNG or SVG. To reuse your outline, copy the text from the Outline textarea and save it in a text file.
There is no hard limit, but very large maps (100+ nodes) may become difficult to navigate visually. For best results, keep each branch to 5-8 child nodes and split very large topics into separate maps.
